Making a Mandalorian-themed New Year Wreath

In a bid to be more festive year-round I've ventured into making geeky seasonal wreaths. Although in most parts of the country green in nature is a ways off, here in the south we can see year already renewing. I've also been watching the recent season of The Mandalorian, so there's that. 



Materials
-8inch vine wreath
-Variety of ferns
-Pussy willow or white spring flowers
-Mandalorian figurines

Tools
-Scissors
-Wire cutters
-Glue gun

1. Gather the materials
I picked up the wreath and greenery from the floral section from the craft store. For the new year but not early enough for spring flowers, I chose ferns (which frequently symbolize renewal) and and the pussy willow (a common early spring flower). I found these Mandalorian figurines at Target.


2. Arrange the greenery
Experiment with some placement and movement, but leave some space for weirdness. 


3. Add the figures
In the spaces left, I put in the Mandalorian and his mischievous charge in with dabs of hot glue, but didn't want to overload it. The wreath kind of has a Dagobah feel so a Yoda-adjacent character seemed appropriate.

How to make rebel pilot leg flares

Another basic part of the Iden Versio costume or any other rebel pilot are the leg flares and flare holder. It's the gray/olive band holding 8 silver "flares" on the left leg of Rebellion pilots in New Hope , Empire Strikes Back , and Return of the Jedi . How to make the collar from the Stargate Anubis Guard

For those intent on becoming the Prime of Ra and adopting the appearance of ancient Egyptian gods to terrorize the populace, welcome to my step-by-step guide of becoming the Anubis guard in the Stargate film. Most of these elements are going to be made from EVA foam, so this simple collar-piece was a good introduction to cutting, detailing, shaping, and painting foam.
